• Sort of in front of you - you have to be in the 'View' tab

  • If you do go with MySQL - be sure to use PDO / prepared statements...

  • From what I understand, you can use Spriter with a lot more than just C2

But I am not sure how Spriter fits in to this topic because - as of now - you can not draw with Spriter so it can not be lumped in the same category as 'Vector Software'

As for 'game' animation, I would take Spriter over Anime Studio any day... Other animation, it would be the opposite...

Whether the topic is Vector Software, Animation Software or anything else, it is best to compare apples to apples IMHO

  • Here is what is required to use spriter with C2

  • Multiple screens on my MAC, iPads 1,2 & 3, iPhone, android phone, Nexus 10, windows laptop...

They should call me Doctor Octopus when I'm testing...

Oh wait, I think that name is already taken...

  • Some of the stuff was sorta funny

  • Pretty Cool

  • Sorry - I have not looked at your caps yet, I am on my Mac...

But one thing you could try is the bullet behavior and have it bounce off solid objects...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Can you please explain a little better what you are trying to accomplish?

  • Yeah, it pretty much rounds it up or down to whole number.

I thought floor rounded the number down?

    Is it different in Construct?

  • There are a few ways to do this... You might also want to try setting platform vector Y

or maybe you want to use physics?

  • I had a similar issue where I loaded a sound and used it... then later, changed it to another sound. I did not remove the other sound from the project...

When I tried to run it in Safari, it kept telling me there was an error and the page had to be reloaded... Firefox and Chrome did some 'quirky' things but the game still played...

Once I went back to the project and deleted the other sound, the problem went away...

  • The way I understand it is...

    Open a New Project...

When you have the words, 'New Project*' highlight that and on the left you see 'Window Size'...

This is your window to the world. Think of it as looking out of a window in your house...

Now highlight Layout 1... This is your world...

So the size of the 'window' basically dictates how much of the 'world' you will see...

In order to see the rest of your world, you either have to make your window bigger, or make it scroll to that part(s) of your world that you want to see...

  • oh sorry, as for collecting info... the chopper game has a high scores page and does ask for a name...

You can put whatever you like - it also records your IP address so that someone can not keep submitting the same score over and over...

  • I have several projects at this website that are being worked on...

First, let me explain about the 'Zombie Dongs' - it is not meant to be anything perverted.

If you are a fan of the Walking Dead and also watch the Talking Dead, you may have caught the Talking Dead episode where the topic came up.

If not, here is a link to that segment so you will have a little better understanding of where this comes from

    Talking Dead Link

Aside from the ones currently linked on the main page, in the works are

Zomchinko http://zombiedongs.com/pachinko/ My version of a pachinko game...

    • and -

    Zomdiggit http://zombiedongs.com/zomdiggit/

All of these projects are in various phases... some have sounds, some have none... some are touch enabled, some are not... If I had to put them in order of 'most complete, it would probably go something like this...

    Zombies vs. Choppers

    Zombie Pong

    Zombie Dongs

    Zomchinko

    ZomDiggit

Of course with the speed in which things can be accomplished, the list can change very rapidly and even more added to the list as I have all sorts of ideas swarming and filling up the empty space in my head... All different genres...

By the way, the site has no advertising, no cookies, no logins, no gotchas, etc... Eventually it will have advertising and maybe a newsletter submission form - but not for awhile... The only info it collects is visitor generic info... Mostly, I am interested in the date and time and where the hit came from, i.e. FB, Scirra, etc.

    Thanks
