  Consider posting only 250 Mb archives.

  As for uploading assets to the store, you can already upload them online on an hosting service with a larger bandwidth and then provide the URL where to download the assets from to prevent this kind of issues.

  Edit your frames in a dedicated image edition software. Then import them in Construct.

  Technically it is because it is an object that is closer to the Tiled Background (that does not have collision checks) than to a sprite.

  You can test if another object is overlapping it. A sprite, in its "On collision" or "Is overlapping" condition will allow you to check if the 9Patch is being overlapped.

  You have animations which are composed of animation frames.

  In the animation panel, duplicate your animation (by default named Animation 1) and remove the animation frames you do not need.

  When you need those frames to be part of the animation, change the name of the animation played in your event sheet to the name of the animation that contains those frames (Sprite.Set Animation).

  You can use the built-in animation feature to not have to handle it through events.

  There are links for the assets in the book, but they no longer work.

  Oh OK.

  Then the author of the book should be contacted about the missing/non-working URLs.

  You can still get the free bundle of assets at this URL : construct.net/en

  The Beginner's guide to Construct 2 does contain the assets within the tutorial itself for you to right-click and download.

  construct.net/en

  The platform tutorial relies on assets which are provided when you own a license.

  Go to your downloads page and click the link "Download included asset bundle" underneath the "Download" button of your license if you have one. - construct.net/en

  If you do not, it is up to you to use any other type of assets to complete the tutorial (which is the basic of how things work in Construct).
