  • I'm still getting it multiple times. There appears to be a different memory for every manual entry. Once you x-close the advertisement for a page it doesn't pop back up for that page again.

    Either way I don't want to see it even once. I don't think its a good move for Scirra to be trying to push game sales on users who are likely trying to make there own. Adds would work well in the Arcade.

  • Can we please disable the popup to buy Super Ubie Land? I getting annoyed having to click the little x every page. I use a net book and the add takes up too much screen space. Although, even if it did take up less space I got the advertisement in my email and If I wanted I would have bought it them.

    I spent what I consider a lot of money for a personal licence (Steam purchased) and don't want to see adds when I come here for the manual or the forum.

    problem: I would click launch in Steam, see cursor change showing processing, cursor goes back to pointer, I wait and nothing happens. After many attempts I opened up task manager and saw a Construct2.exe program at about 1k briefly show up each time I clicked launch. Then I stared to redo installing along with computer reboots. Somewhere along the line it fixed itself.

  • michael I don't have a Purchases option. My options include: In Box, My profile, edit profile and log out.

    I have never done anything to match my Steam account up with Scirra account.

    So it sounds like the process Steam uses to authenticate personal doesn't use a licence file(one compatible with Scirra) stored on my computer.

    I would have never found this program and consequently purchased if it had not been on Steam. Steam deserves credit for bringing to C2 but if its not going to work I want what does work.

    I did get it to work for now and will try out the email, Thanks all.

  • I'm having troubles launching C2 through Steam. Its not the first time I've have had problems either. I'd like to install the stand alone version through Scirra. I did buy a personal licence. Please, where do I find my licence file?

  • Why are things created on a topmost layer showing underneath objects created on a layer below? If it matters a system create object is making the text and tiled background objects I'm having troubles with. Using C2 beta r22 and latest Chrome.

    • click the bag/envelope looking thing to display the objects I'm having trouble with.
    • although not related, the arrow keys move one of the balls around.

  • To destroy-recreate or reposition-toggle visible

    I'm wondering which approach is better? Here is a start on an inventory UI display using destroy. Clicking the white bag will show/hide the UI and the 4 way arrow moves with click and drag.

    I probably could make something functionally similar using reposition but I'm not sure how I would even test which is better.

  • curious Mike "problems using Ajax with cocoon", I can't answer this. I just used the tool as explain in the manual.

    action AJAX -> request project file tag

    You need to manually import the file into files folder. It should be a text file that is like....{"c2array":true,"size":[3,3,1],"data":[[["Shovel"],["Chisels"],["Pickaxe"]],[["2.75"],["0.75"],["2.25"]],[[3],[0],[4]]}.

    Condition AJAX -> on completed tag

    Action Array -> Load AJAX.lastData

    That's how I did it in this capx:

    Although, I'm only able to get this to work by manualy loading file. I believe if you want to dynamically import or export JSON you'll need to experiment with AJAX request and post.

  • Perhaps I didn't explain well enough.

    The tiledbackground needs to start out invisible and become visible with the associated text object "Inv".

    When you click the bag/letter looking sprite a bunch of text is created and the tiledbackground is toggled to visible.

    The problem is that Inv text is beneath tiledbackground. In this capx that background is on a completely different layer below and it still creates text underneath tiled. You can enable the toggle inventory grouping to see the color changes of Inv text.

  • I'm having trouble figuring out why this capx won't let me put the tiled background below some "object-create" text.I have tried different combinations of changing z order every tick, putting the tiledbackground on a separate layer, using a family to put all instance of a text object on top most layer. Browser is Chrome, Version 25.0.1364.97 m.
