• So, I quite recently bought this great tool for simple game developing and I love it, I just encountered a problem with pixelart where as when I try to run the game it seems to blur them up in an attempt of smoothing the pixels out, which I don't want to happen to my pixel-art-sprites, in other words, I'd like to have them crisp and pixely, I googled around for a little and couldn't find any solution to the problem, I even went as far as taking a fast glance at the manual, yet I was left clueless to how to solve my problem...

Here's a CAPX of a VERY simply test containing a VERY simple pixel-sprite which is for some reason smoothed out when it's played: Click me

All help is appreciated and I thank you all in advance for the time I took from your day haha :)

I opened the program in firefox and it works like a charm, thanks for taking your time out to help a newbie like me :)

  • Hello there, Just started goofing around with SC 2, as I wanted to make some Ios stuff, so, I got done with the simple project, exported it, and now I can't either of the following: launch it on my pc nor launch it on my iPad 2 (latest Ios update), I get a few files from exporting, so I don't even know what to launch, but I've tried them all and neither worked.

All help is appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

  • I thank you so much for taking you time and helping me!

It was exactly what I searched for :D

  • haha I apologize for my lack of specifications ;)

I am making a little top down semi 3D Minecraft copy, and the only thing I just can't really get to work is the day night cycles, I have no clue to how to make it dark in the night, also, I wish to add placeable torches, no need for complicated tilebased light, all I want is some light in the dark ;)

  • Hello there!

Returning to this forum more and more often, as I love the community of kind and helpful developers, cheers for that :)

I just wanted to ask if anyone have, or know someone who has a great tutorial on light, I can't seem to make the environment to the point where light can be useful haha ;)

I gotta mention that I have searched around on the forum and google, but all the links I could possibly find was either A, broken, or B, not really what I was searching for,

I thank you deeply in Advance for your help haha :)

  • wellwell, hello there, I've been on here for a while now x) I am Mads, I am danish / swedish and I love Construct, that's all xD

    K thx baii

  • Yet another question (yep, I am really new )

in the formel (or script, whatever it is called) it says 'grid' and when I am trying to replicate the line it tells me to define 'grid', what should I type? haha

    floor(MouseY/global('grid'))*global('grid')+global('grid')/2

  • Haha Thank you so much :) now I understand :) a much better method than the one I used (laughes) :)

  • an example would indeed be very nice :) (sorry for taking your time haha)

  • Reached a newbie question more; as you might have noticed I used the background sprites to reach the event "spawn object" to spawn the 3D blocks, this can't be done with a "tiledbackground" because there's no such event for "tiledbackgrounds" what should I do?

  • lol that could help x)

  • Oh thank you for the advice :) very constructive and helpful :) gonna remake the the project from scratch (it's easier than editing the whole system :D)

  • I am at the moment fooling around trying to make a top-down Minecraft 2D copy and I've recently noticed a very low FPS and laggyness, seeing that I am just a newbie at Construct I didn't know what to do...

So, what can I do to increase the performance?

    FILES:

    exe File: click me

    cap File: click me

    SCREENSHOT:
