  • GenkiGenga,

was it different from what i described?

i have not looked at the capx (i'm at work). but i would be interested in being able to imulate this myself.

  • great story sir...glad you shared it. someone may need to hear it.

  • i may be wrong, but i think GenkiGenga is talking about 'defender' scrolling. where you are in a virtual world that you can loop continuously through, while remaining in the middle of the screen. they usually use minimaps to give the player reference to where they are in the 'world'.

am i on the right track GenkiGenga?

Life is hard. If you really got stuck in someway, get on to another way.

When being a kid, i wanted to live on to explore the interesting life out there, but now, i'm just trying to find the reason to live(real life is somehow horrible in my country). I had a really bad times: no degree, no girl, no job, no money. I have no belief, no god, i'm thinking of suicide everyday. But think again, i still had reasons to live: my parents, some dudes, a girl i liked (still not saying a word to her), and C2 hahah. I managed to choose another way for my life, and im happy with that.

not to distract from this thread, but...well said sir.

  • vladoss,

that will help new players a lot. mario does the same thing. it opens with easy levels, and then gradually shows you harder things that you will need to master to make it through harder levels.

i think that you could easily have a 50+ level game here with all the different mechanics you could come up with for challenging the player.

like i said before, work on a bunch of easy levels because it may give you clues or inspiration for how to create harder more creative ones.

and don't worry about how many people reply about your game. many people here are doing exactly what you are doing, working on something interesting. not all of us have the time, energy or will to multitask our efforts outside our own projects. it's nothing personal. if you keep at it, and keep improving your game. you will bring more attention to yourself, based on the merit of your creative effort.

    keep at it...

  • you sir, are amazing.
