    -----------------------------

like the simple design. I think you could improve the arrangement of headlines/scores/HUD symbols to make it look more appealing

Thanks, we'll look into this. Could you please describe more thoroughly or post an example of it?

  • But why do apps have to download the whole Chrome every time? Wouldn't be once enough?

  • Thanks for the answers!

My question was related to the size of the app once installed, there is a way to decrease slightly the size? My app, comparing the size with other applications, greatly exceeds 3D games or games much more complex than mine.

I'm having the same problem, APK size of my app Square Eater (http://bit.ly/1wKDiNT) is ~18 MB but once installed the app size is ~45 MB and ~21 MB of data => ~65 MB is the whole app size! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused">

  • Create a database and then every time user opens the quiz (or once per week, whatever), send a GET request and check new questions. Then save them into the game and voila, you have it.

(it may not be as easy as I wrote )

And every week or so add questions into the database.

  • You have an option to tick when you export to Cordova in C2 (look at the picture).

  • I think using crosswalk is like wrapping chrome around your game and including it in that apk. And apk are basically like zips (compressed files) so once installed, it'll become larger when uncompressed and installed.

18mb for a apk with crosswalk is the smallest i've come across

As I know the APK size is about 15 or 16 MB if you build an empty project.

  • Starred the one about chrome.

    There's another issue to star: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issu ... ?id=424174

  • Thank you, Scirra, for $20 voucher.

  • imaffett What about "Design your app for tablets"? What causes that message to appear, even if it is designed for tablets, too?

  • Any updates on this? Will this be fixed soon?

How do other games/apps deal with it (the ones that are not made in C2)? Why do they load almost instantly (e.g. Red Ball 4)?

  • Yup, it will, I can confirm. Square Eater uses Ajax and it works without problems. http://bit.ly/1wKDiNT

  • Hello!

My friend reported that if Square Eater (http://bit.ly/1wKDiNT) is installed on her HTC One M7, the battery drains very quickly.

Could anyone try to install Square Eater on HTC One M7 (or any other) and tell me if everything is ok with battery, please?

Please, post phone model and Android version.

    Thank you,

    Square Eater developer
