    • Made all guns spawn at the same angle. (They aren't rotated or "upside down")

    First off, you can't just run into areas with enemies that shoot. You have to try to be sneaky. You can fire a few shots and then hide behind a wall. Also You don't "equip" weapons. To use them you have to "buy" them. Since there are no stores in the game, you buy or sell weapons on the spot, the price of the weapon is in the weapon description.

    I do agree that the start can be a little slow and most of the guns that you find early on are really bad, but as you progress and level up your character, you do get faster and you can find really powerful guns.

  • Hi! This is my new game Mercenary. It's still in very early development, but I've been working on it for a while and wanted to get some feedback.

    Mercenary is a Top-down RPG shooter game. I wrote "Borderlands inspired" because I was aiming for an open world game with lots of quests to keep you busy.

    Mercenary still doesn't have all of the graphics or animations in yet because I've been focusing mainly on gameplay.

    Here are some pictures of actual gameplay.

    The start of the game. Where your player is in his crashed ship.

    Turning in the first quest and recieving a new one from your pilot.

    The first "boss", a Slugmother surrounded by space slugs.

    I even added a functioning multiplayer! You can put something in the "game name" box so that only people with the same game name can join, or you can leave it blank to join the main server.

  • Just released version 1.9!

    This version includes the 4th and final class, a ranger.

    The ranger uses explosive traps that expire after a few detonations so make sure you continue to upgrade!

    The ranger also has a target that detonates after being shot.

    The ranger has low health and mana, but high damage.

    This may be the last update I put on the arcade before submitting to the chrome store. After that, I will submit the "Demo" version to the scirra arcade, but if you want, you can always buy the full version!

  • Just released version 1.8c

    This update fixed the defense units for the summoner's towers. It also balances his ability by making it more expensive. I also made the squire deal a little more damage. Finally, I increased the resolution to a 2:1 ratio(it was 4:3) so it fills more of the screen.

    Includes a new character, the summoner

    The summoner shoots two balls of energy for his primary attack.

    He releases a swarm of piercing dark magic for his ability

    He has a dark magic tower, a tesla tower, and a skull(it follows enemies and attacks them)

    I have the ranger option, but he's still not playable.
