  • I wonder if it would be easy enough to make families work this way, it sure seems logical and consistent with the way all of the other events work within C2.

I was actually a little surprised that they didn't already work this way, it seems intuitive and simple that they would work just like this... - It would be a good feature to have...

Yes i agree with you. It would be great if we have this feature and seperate feature for generate random family object instance (like currently we have).

  • It works for me.

    C2 R152 x64

    Windows 8.1 Pro x64

  • Also there is same bug with r146 Stable x64.

  • Have got the Tilemap properties window set to 'Auto hide' ? That's the only way I can reproduce this issue.

Yes! You are right! But it still seams not like a correct behavior.

  • Capx is not needed for producing this error.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create new project.

    2. Add tilemap object.

    3. Choose recommended settings for tilemap object.

    4. Pick any tile form tilemap window.

    5. Try to place tile on tilemap object.

    Observed result:

Sometimes, when you click on a tilemap it selects tilemap object itself.

    Expected result:

Must place selected tile on tilemap object.

  • This is fixed version of the project you have sent (working):

This is only a z-order problem, not a bug.

  • Can I confirm you are setting the 'Tilemap width' or 'Tilemap height' properties? I can reproduce a problem setting those properties, but your description makes it sound like you're setting the object width/height to 0, which appears to work fine.

    Tilemap width or Tilemap height.

  • I tried same thing but this time not only C2, Windows itself crashed. Mouse moves but nothing else responses. (Sorry for bad English).

    OS: Windows 7 x64

    Video Card: HD6870

  • I tried again after restarting my computer and Construct 2 never crashed.

I think it was releated to Clipboard object (don't remember what i copied to).

    4. Press Ctrl + V (Paste) [I did it accidently) Observed result:
