    Hi i got a rather frustrating thing to work out.

    i have a couple of text boxes added and i want the player to add there name to it but here's the problem i want to check the text inside textbox to make sure it has something written in there if not then i can stop the player from advancing

    so in short is there a way to validate text inside a textbox?

  • hey guys ive got a weird issue i try to click on a button once its created which is yes and no after it asks if i want to start a new game but it just doesn't work the screenshot below is pretty much all the code in one please have a look Ty

  • hmm im not sure if there's a problem with my computer or something but on my screen it always aims below the mouse? but that bit of code worked pretty awesome to get power based on the distance tyvm

  • hey guys im in the middle of making grenade feature and im having some issues e.g the grenade don't seem to point at mouse cant get a decent feature going cant seem to get power right and i wanted to make a projected line for it to tell user where it will land and how it will bounce but i have no idea how to do it if anyone can help possible get it done i will hugely appreciate it

  • OK im fairly new to construct 2 still and this might sound like a silly question but here it is.

    i got loads of different monsters spawned on the screen some have more of the same type then others, i what i want to do is set a bomb off which kills any monsters caught in the explosion but then i want to count how many monsters were killed in that explosion so i can deduct it off the variable of monsters alive.

    please help me i cant think of anyway to do this

  • ah i get it and this should stop more then 1 zombie being destroyed from same bullet?

  • sorry you lost me what you mean by turn off collisions? how would the bullet hit the zombie and determine which zombie to hit?

  • hey folks ive got a small problem which i cant work out how to sort it when i have my zombies attack sometimes they overlap but when they do and a bullet hits them it normally kills all of them which messes up the counter i only want one to take the hit please help

  • hmm i got another query got them attacking but when multiple creatures are attacking wall it only takes away 1 health instead of each individual creature
