  • This would be good but actually there is no really need of it and scirra is a very small company so they should focus on increasing features.

    For image creating you can use gimp and paint.net they are free and they have much more functions

  • Max FPS is mostly a part of the mobile software and the operating system.

  • If you make import an image with 50x50 and you resize it to 1920x1080 it will not only be ugly It will also need more performance. But thats just normal. If you want reduce the download size it is better to create smaller images and resize them over events but this would also loose quality.

    With the performance of Collision Objects I can�t help you, I think just ashley can it. Or you try it by your own with the new debugger

  • I also asked him if he uses animation frames, but the most newbies using families instead of animation frames. Cause Animation Frames are better for the performance but they are harder to understand and instances need to be defined over loops.

    • Open construct
    • Click on Scirra logo
    • Click on new
    • search for Template (Auto-runner)
    • Now you have an example how it works ;)

    For free graphics you can use OpenGameArt (search it)

    Please do not ask people to do things for you, this will not help you.

  • Pretty easy:

    • I hope your monsters have an Id or are they a part of an animation ? If you haven just:

    Right click on family

    Add an instance variable id = 0

    Set for every monster the correct id (1-75)

    • You need to have your actual level saved in a global variable, if you haven't done this yet just do:

    + On start of Layout

    • Set Level to 1-75

    + Every tick //I?m not sure how often you spawn them, so change this line how you like

    ++ family.id = random(1, level)

    • spawn family

    if you want to spawn all the choosen monsters at the same time do:

    + Every tick

    ++ for from 1 to level

    +++ family.id = loopindex("")

    • spawn family

    + = event

    ++ = subevent

    • = action
  • Do you get any error message ? Do you tried to debug it trough cocoon ?

  • Ahh I know what you mean, you want to code instead of clicking all together.

    In you project you got for every event sheet single .XML (Projects/Project/Event sheets) ignore the .uistate.xml files they are just for c2.

    The code is pretty easy, but changing just there the code is proud to failure cause you often missing something.

    If you ask me, better do this in c2. You have there also commands like press a to add new action and so on, this pretty feals the same like real coding.

    And with an good theme it also looks like that ;)
