  • Absolutely, and that's exactly what I'm doing--waiting 'til the next release to continue working, and I'm confident it'll be out soon. However, this still diverges from the fact that Scirra Online Arcade required a beta version in order to upload projects. My super-ultimate-main point of all of this is: shouldn't the Scirra Arcade accept stable releases and not force the user to upgrade to a possibly broken beta version?

  • If your Scirra Arcade accepted R95 without forcing me to upgrade to a beta version, I wouldn't be having this problem...

  • Gameplay > Graphics. I intend to prove this once again with Dream Enders (not that I'm using that as an excuse to make it ugly--not at all, but I'm using 16-Bit graphics).

  • ...Info plz? I've seen ads on Craig's List with more information than this ad. Perhaps you can share what type of work you're looking to get done? Or perhaps what types of art/programming/etc.? Anything? Specifics would help a great deal in clarifying what you need done/narrow down the best potential candidates.

  • Sure are a lot of people waiting for this to get fixed. I'm sure you'll push the release ASAP to appease the masses waiting to continue their progress using your software.

  • I've begun construction of an RPG-style, top-down real-time action game with story and exploreable locations and such-like. It's true that it does take time and patience, but being a dedicated and passionate gamer of the old school Ultima's, Dragon Warrior's, and Final Fantasy's, I'm doing my best to create a game by hand from scratch, using Construct 2, that will reflect the early RPG giants from the NES days (which I grew up on). The game is called Dream Enders, and an early playable alpha will be released to the Scirra Arcade with the next update.

Below is an early slideshow of one of the NPC towns. The graphics have been updated somewhat since the creation of this.

Also, more updated screenshots available on my Twitter:

After they get the kinks out of the new version of Construct 2, I'll upload it and share the link here, if there's interest for it.

    Cheers.

  • No, I've saved it too many times since then. Nice thought, but unfortunately this newest release has made testing impossible, and therefore slows progress considerably until a fix is released. Ironic, as the only reason I had to upgrade at all was to upload the game for the first time to the Scirra online arcade. Elsewise, I would not have bothered with the beta version (The arcade did not accept the R95 version).

    Thanks for the quick response.

  • Glad to hear this will be getting addressed soon. In the meantime, however, how do I 'downgrade' my project to run in R95 again? The file for the project seems to have locked itself to the R96 version, where I can't play it.
