  • Excal you've got pretty valid points there, and I do confess I fall somewhere in the middle of those two categories. A shame you're leaving C2, but I can see where you're coming from. On my side, I'm really trying to make a quality product using C2, but I'm just getting started. If it helps the public perception of it that's an added bonus and motivation, though :)

  • alextro Yep! A side scrolling RPG with a roam-able (is that even a word?) overhead overworld map, ala Zelda 2. That's what I intend, at least :) ... thanks for the nice comments!

    Katala Odin Sphere was indeed one of my inspirations, but I want the game to be more of a platformer than Odin Sphere, and less as combat-heavy :)

    Arcanebits is that Morgan Freeman? OMG :O

    Hopefully, I can make my little action-RPG happen, too. I'm just learning to use C2, but I'm already loving it. It was pretty cool to see my girl running around for the first time! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Sorry to relive an old topic, but something's been bothering me a little. I know it's a good practice to destroy objects like bullets when they leave the screen, but does it affect performance if I add the "destroy outside layout" behaviour to level objects, such as platforms, background trees and such? That's when making long, scrolling levels of course.

    I'm trying C2 and I'm having a blast with it. Making a game has been a dream of mine for a while, but it's kinda hard to make the time for development when you're not, well, a full-time developer. C2 is really helping me with that, though, with its accesible tools!
