  • On instance 1 destroyed, start instance 2 fade etc...

  • Yes, Scirra is having server issues which they are going to look into on Monday.

  • I can't reproduce either.

  • First I tried loading an arcade game and it would only load up to 5% no matter how many times I tried. Then about half an hour later when I went back to try again I received this error:

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    Collection was modified after the enumerator was instantiated.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

    Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: Collection was modified after the enumerator was instantiated.

    Source Error:

    The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

    1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

    <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

    or:

    2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

    <configuration>

    <system.web>

    <compilation debug="true"/>

    </system.web>

    </configuration>

    Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

    Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

  • I tried several times to load the new version and it only loads up to about 5% and freezes up. More arcade issues perhaps? I'm not sure. I'm looking forward to checking it out though.

  • Cool. That's good to know. Thank you for the more recent info. Maybe I'll upload a few of my small games that I didn't think I was able to before.

  • If you have a capx I would be happy to take a look for you (I'm still not sure exactly what you mean when you say link the parts together but make them act separately from each other).

  • I've never used AppGameKit so I can't make direct comparisons.

    1. Yes, you can do all those things.

    2. C2 has collision issues as well.

    3. Yes over wifi (or lan).

    Like the post above said, try out the free version and try it out.

  • Have any screenshots to share?

  • Zed2100 No, I'm not sure, I'm going by this (it is old though, maybe there have been changes):

    "The new Scirra Arcade allows you to share your game with the world on the Scirra website itself! Here's what you need to know.

    Limitations

    Currently the Arcade only supports the built-in plugins and behaviors, except for the platform specific plugins (like the Windows 8 object). Also, the Browser object has limited features on the Arcade: any actions which can navigate to a different page are blocked for security reasons. Currently all third-party plugins and behaviors are not allowed. We'll be looking to improve this in future by adding more support, but each plugin and behavior must be carefully reviewed first to ensure the Arcade remains a safe and secure place to play games."

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm not sure of exactly what you're trying to do, but I think you could use variables to pick the correct enemy.

  • It's all speculation at this point but my guess is that only the official plug-ins will import with the project from C2 to C3. Currently you can't even upload to the Scirra arcade if your project uses non-official plugins. Hopefully I am wrong though as many of our projects rely on community plugins.

  • Your text box is likely too small. Try resizing it up and see if the text will show up.

    Also, you're posting in the wrong section of the forums.

  • I copied these directly from the closed bugs section of the forum. This is precisely why C3 needs to move away from 3rd party dependence and create their own export wrappers etc... Also, not the most convincing argument for moving towards browser based IDE either IMO. In any event, if you're going to charge a recurring fee for a service, you need to take responsibility for what you are going to be offering.

    • Closing as it's a Chrome issue as pointed out previously. Star the issue and post in it to try and bring attention back to it.
    • This looks like a bug in the Edge browser: Closing as this bug should be followed up by Microsoft at that URL.
    • Closing as won't fix - I'm afraid there's not much we can do about this. All browsers and OSs have their own text rendering engines, and they are all slightly different.
    • Closing, please follow the bug report guidelines and report any XDK-specific issues to Intel.
    • Check your browser addons, they can sometimes interfere with C2. This most likely isn't a C2 bug though, so closing.
    • Check your browser addons, they may be interfering. Closing as won't fix.
    • Closing as will now follow up So you knew the bug is there. This issue is there already for around 8 months. I only just saw it, and the report to NW.js was only just filed
    • Sounds and music not playing on iOS. Closing, nothing we can do about reports like this, sorry.
    • Game crashes only when exported and played in NW.j. Closing as it is almost impossible to fix bugs like this
    • Closing as won't fix: the problem is with the AAC encoder we use (which doesn't report an error, it just hangs)
    • Closing as it's a NW.js bug.
    • Closing as not a C2 issue. If a problem is different across browsers, that usually indicates a variation in the browser engine.
    • Sorry, the browser implements CSS styles, not Construct 2, so there is nothing we can do about this. Closing.
    • closing as won't fix since it needs browser changes to work around.
    • This is a bug in Windows I've reported recently and has still not been fixed. I just tried reporting the issue again and their issue tracker is crashing and won't accept my report :- I'll try again later but closing this report as it is not a C2 bug.
    • you should report the problem to Apple instead since it's probably a Safari bug. Closing as won't fix.
    • Closing, please report XDK issues to Intel.
    • Closing as this is a Chrome issue.
    • Closing this report on the assumption it is the same problem. This is a bug in iOS itself that needs to be fixed by Apple.
    • Closing as this is a webkit bug
    • Sorry, there's nothing we can do if Chrome itself doesn't recognise some gamepad buttons. Closing, please follow up via that Chromium bug report.
    • Closing...Also if you have issues specific to the Intel XDK, I'd recommend reporting them to Intel.

    And last but not least... I found this one to be quite amusing, considering the current atmosphere among the community:

    • Closing as won't fix for the time being - this is arguably a user convenience choice and is probably better to discuss in the Construct 2 General forum to see if there's any consensus amongst users. Nobody ever complained ...
