  • Every one carries on about the sub, not an issue for me, 1. I am part of the people who recently purchased so my first 12 months is covered and 2. Even if I wasn't I would still sub and try it for at least 1 sub period anyway.

    3. Full access during the game jam. So please indicate where the sub was required

  • Hey all moved project to C3 and trying implement ads using the official Plug in and the cloud build service. but after install and testing on android I don't see any ads, Just want to Confirm i have done everything right in C3. thanks

    My opening screen events:

    Game Over Screen where ad is to be shown

    and I went into Admob and got the ad id not app id to use in the banner id setting for AdmobAds object in C3

  • Hey so just wondering where I am going wrong here trying to get ads to show on my built and published app. I have downloaded and installed cocoon ads plugin.

    On start scene of my game over layout I have

    -Load banner ad

    -set ad position

    -show banner ad

    Then on clicking g the play button again

    -Hide banner ad.

    I tried running the load and set position then hide as on first layout but that didn't work either.

    I have also enabled admob native ads in cocoon before compilation and added the banner ad I'd from admob to the banner ad setting on the cocoonads object in construct.

    Any help appreciated.

  • End of the game jam is meant to be the release of C3, so free users I think (don't quote me here), will have control within bounds of the free version which is probably the 2 layers, 50 events and limited exports, and subs should open at same time for the larger project users who want to sub to get full access

  • Tried just moving to touch and the ship going under your finger was crap on small mobile screens so had to have an easy way to move without covering the main object

    Subscription for updates is very open to abuse. Let's say one user on yearly subscription gets his 12 updates (1 a month), and user 2 who hasn't subbed in the last 12 months, pays 1 month sub and grabs the latest version then unsubs again. Getting the same end result as guy 1 but not really paying enough to support further development

  • Hard to say where you're going wrong if you don't provide at least a screenshot of how you have used the while event. That way you will get much better feed back on how to avoid an Infinite loop or even have a better way to do what you're trying to achieve with it suggested

  • Wait to see if a cloud compile is included into construct 3

  • Updated to totally different background for a more cartoonish feel to the game, also added a second style of asteroid, music and an explosion SFX on collision. There is a game breaker bug in this update where it will stop spawning asteroids and as such will just run forever with nothing to do, if this happens need to re open app at the moment. I know how to fix it and will do if I get time over next 2 days. A related bug also means it will randomly spawn 2 asteroids before the 200 score mark. This will be fixed at the same time.

    In this update I'm interested to hear feedback on:

    1. Should I remove the speed up at 100 score and just have it all start a little faster,

    2. Feedback on music choice

    3. Feedback on graphics (menu, play button, ship and background)

    4. Explosion SFX volume level(at the moment -10db compared to music volume)

  • I found after the 20second mark when it starts to spawn 2 asteroids at a time you need to move forward in some parts to go over an asteroid to give you enough time to get under the next 2 as you fall back, if that makes sense. Trying to keep it fairly straightforward and polish what I have now to completion to be my first game release and may make different modes for it after I feel this is as smooth as possible

  • hey all, just wanted to see if anyone was interested in having a go at and providing feedback for my latest build of my first simple game. If you are a couple of notes first:

    best played on mobile however joystick can be controlled by holding click down on mouse

    on mobile it is best played as independent web app (open link in chrome, menu, add to home screen and then launch from created icon)

    No sound yet, haven't found music that I feel really suited the game (open to suggestions here)

    no ads or anything in test versions so don't worry about that only one is a small overlay at bottom right of screen by the web host provider.

    Best played in landscape
