  This seems to keep coming up so FYI as of r194, the runtime patches in a global alert() function in worker mode. However it works slightly differently (since it's not blocking in the worker). I'd still suggest using console.log() or something else that works everywhere instead.

  It should only affect the clicked instance. You must have done something different to what you explained. It's easiest to help if you share a project.

  construct-mobile-notchfix (which uses the full screen area) is only applied if you tick "Hide status bar", since it is assuming you want to use the full screen display area. You can untick that to leave the default notch handling behavior (shrinking to avoid it) instead.

  If you do use the full display area, the Platform Info object safe area expressions tell you where to move anything important so it's not obscured by the notch.

  Construct now defaults to running your projects in a Web Worker for performance reasons.

  For scripting this means a more limited set of methods are available. It's described in the manual in the 'Worker mode' section of JavaScript in Construct.

  The easiest thing to do is untick 'Use worker' in Project Properties.

  Also note when you create a new project, if you choose to start with script 'Use worker' is already turned off.

  A better place to start would be to try using console.log("Hello world!") which is supported in a worker as well.

  If a feature is not documented in the scripting reference in the manual, then you must use events to access it instead.

  The Functions feature was redesigned last year. See the blog post Construct 3's new redesigned functions.

  You can also automatically convert old functions to new ones, as described in this follow-up blog post.
