  • Hello everyone!

I'm looking to help. To be more specific, I want to help you develop your games...

Background: I made a Udemy course for construct 2, it has over 1000 students... (not here to advertise, so link excluded) When I put up my course there, I thought that's the way I could help the most people... After having it there for quite a while, I realize that it's not setup for what I need...

So, I plan on starting a membership site, where I can give the following things to members...

    • Lots of C2 Tutorials (Mostly video, some text if need be)
    • C2 Templates (both app and game templates, because I think C2 could make some EPIC apps)
    • C2 Plugins (To help both game and app developers)
    • Game assets
    • Soundtracks
    • Sound effects
    • Graphics

Hopefully a chat room for instant support and for people to hang out in...

There will be a free and paid version... (Since I don't code Javascript, I'll pay someone to make needed plugins)

Free version will have LOTS of things, but paid version will help with costs, and include even more! I plan on giving away paid lifetime memberships to lots of high ranked people here.

So that's the plan, but I need to know what you guys want the most...

Are there certain games you want to learn to make?

Are there certain soundtrack styles you want me to have made?

What type of graphics do you want?

Any great plugin ideas? (Google maps plugin is planned, for you app makers!)

Thanks, and have a GREAT day everyone! B-)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Finding a good plugin dev can be hard...

I really think we should have a list of people that dev plugins...

    Good luck finding a dev

  • Instead of giving a x and y cords... you can do something like this...

    random(1,2,3,4)

for both of the cords... that way it will pick between those cords, and spawn the enemy there!

  • Awesome Ashley, that's EPIC

  • Are you asking for someone to make this for you? You would want to post this in the job offers and team requests section.

  • You can add a custom loader...

Here is a old tutorial link, but there are newer versions around: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/318/ho ... ng-screens

  • Check the instance variables animation frame... Then add a sub event to check the next IV

  • You could add physics to it... Although you might have to add a few objects to make the circle work right...

  • You are trying to get the animation frame of a certain UID of a sprite?

  • Flappy bird is more of a genre these days then a game. (at least it made a genre)

There are still plenty of cool and creative things left to do in that genre...

OP: I would consider giving you a hand, but I have other projects going on atm. Although I would love to play test it

  • Glad you solved it...

Although there is a plugin (Platform+) that has a built in wall jump feature...

  • Hello everyone,

I was recently working in a project for someone that Facebook was required... I worked on it for WAY longer then it should have gone. Why? Maybe my noobiness, or Facebook's API changing a lot making it hard for devs to keep plugins up to date.

I ended up going with FacebookComplete by lanceal (Thanks for the plugin), but even that I had some trouble with. (might have been because lanceal isn't updating it anymore... NOTE: It's understandable because of Facebook changing it's API)

Here's my questions to all you other C2 Devs,

    • Do you use Facebook at all in your projects?
    • If so, For what features? (Leaderboard, basic info, sharing or?)
    • What plugin do you currently use? (Default plugin, FacebookComplete or a homemade or alternative plugin)
    • Is Facebook worth the hassle for you?

    Final question

    • What could be done to make Facebook easy to add?

I appreciate any input from you guys!

    Justin

PS: This might all be just my noobiness

  • o, I thought you wanted to have a Facebook leaderboard...

Check your Facebook developer panel... Did you add your URL in there? (for testing put in http://localhost:50000)

  • I would assume they would have this kind of info in their Analytics...

    https://developers.facebook.com/products/analytics/?
