  • I tested with a project of mine that is physics intensive and I got a slightly more stable fps on Chrome. Also slightly better fps, but the precision is reduced and some objects penetrate each other more often. I perceived a general slower velocity in the movement and the distance spring joints seems slightly less stiff.

After reading Arima's post about the influence of the browser screen size in fps, I tried to test it and I confirm that the fps almost double when I resize the browser window to the game's size. On a second run the game stayed in a low fps no matter the size of the window nor the physics behavior version.

When I test physics for a long time I always get extreme slowdown after some time which makes it very inconstant and unreliable. Because it oscillates a lot the fps I'm not much confident in making a game that is heavily based on physics.

  • I think you can replace them after exporting the project. Just drop the files in the images folder with the same names as the original images and it must work.

  • This reminds me a lot of the Irrlich Engine plugin for MMF when it was announced a long time ago. Nostalgic feelings. :)

  • Thanks newt.

I would prefer not to use the paste sprite trick but it seems to be the only way.

  • How can I draw transparency into canvas?

Like erasing parts of the image, the same as drawing with black or gray in the alpha channel.

Does a "no-color" color exists like the Overlay of MMF used to have that erase it?

*Note that I need to really erase the canvas texture by drawing, not just a cosmetic erase through shaders.

  • Don't know if it's a bug, probably more like an annoyance. The arcade page gets refreshed when you click to load another comment page, and the game restarts. If the game doesn't have any save system the player loose all the progress.

It would be better if only the comments updated, like YouTube.
