Howdy. Once upon a time ago, long before Steam and Amazon and all that other cool stuff, I ventured into game programming. Loved it but the idea of distributing games old-school was daunting so I abandoned the idea. Also, I had more than one person tell me I needed to focus on getting a "real job."
Fast-forward to today. Real jobs suck. I've been a cubicle rat. Now I have an EDJ (Evil Day Job) and also work as a freelance writer. But extra income is always nice, especially when it can be earned doing something fun, so I looked back into game development. I've checked out a few different game engines and narrowed it down to Construct 2 and Stencyl, with Construct 2 just barely snagging the lead. Looking forward to learning and meeting other game makers.
