Best way to load a Google Sheet into C3?

I believe OP's particular issue is that his existing datasets in Google sheets are formatted differently. His primary data is vertical, in the "Y" axis, and subdata is in the "X", so copying into the array editor in the same arrangement is not ideal. I'm assuming he already has a significant amount of data to work with in Sheets and would like to avoid changing it all.

thanks for the offer, but that's not the point.. I can convert the csv to a json.. that's an extra step and I can't reference the field name in the array.

Someone just posted on Rex's CSV that they updated it to c3 I think.. so that may be the best option..

Rex's CSV is a great plugin, but you can easily do the same with events. Parse comma-separate values with tokenat, load them into an array. And create a couple of helper functions to lookup data for a particular row/column from the array.

It's also possible to load data directly from Google Sheets in runtime:

dop2000 of course you can do the same with events.. the point is its just easier to do with Rex's CSV - why reinvent the wheel?

one action to load it, one event to loop through it, and you can do a table "lookup" based on field name.

currently there's nothing as easy as that, I've looked and tried.
