    A bit of code clean up and added the mini intermission.

    When act completed Pengo walks off screen.

  • So I kind of screwed up on the version numbers. Sorry for this. The version has been updated to version 9.

    In this update a few things have been fixed:

    1. Destroying all Sno-Bees occasionally did not let you advance to the next act
    2. Destroying multiple Sno-Bees when less eggs to hatch (3 Sno-Bees destroyed, 1 egg left, 3 Sno-Bees hatched...grrr
    3. Added the first intermission when act 2 completed.

    Trying my best to get some stuff done between the 40+ hours a week at work:) Please bear with me.

    If I could ask for one thing.

    If you could make the next directional move the latest direction key pressed even if the last direction key is still pressed.

    currently the current key press dosent register unless the previous is released (i.e. if you are still pressing the previous key.

    but yea, very impressive.

  • Version 2.0 will be the final update for this project. I have uploaded to version 1.9.5.

    1. Added all intermissions
    2. The current act displayed bottom left
    3. Construct 2 displayed bottom right

    In the final version I will have NetOne's request concerning the keyboard keys implemented :)

    Some fixes in this update:

    1. Killing one or more Sno-Bees with a diamond block and getting a diamond bonus, Sno-Bees were created and moving. Now, Sno-Bees are destroyed and diamond bonus is shown without any Sno-Bees created.
    2. Act sprites are now shown at the bottom left.
    3. Sno-Bees speed increases as Popcorn music gets faster.

    One minor fix. Push and break animations did not play when pushing or breaking an ice block.

  • I like that, especially at the beginning the build up of the labyrinth.

    On little note, if you use the arrow keys and space, some keyboards won't recognize three keypresses at once (two arrow keys + space). You can get funny side effects. I would use the shift or control instead of space.

  • Brilliant brilliant brilliant you even have the match three bonus in. Super.

    But you cant finish yet.......just one more update.....

    The collision in your game is too harsh, in the original you could cross over the enemy by about 1/3 and still not get killed. This made some very tense chases and escapes.

    In your version any visual collision is a death. Change this and will be pretty much spot on . Playing makes me miss the 80s..... We had real game-play then.... would love to see a whole arcade collection of your creations.

  • Excellent man, I played last night for far too long. Even the wife came in as well, lured by the music, and played and appeared to enjoy which is depressing as she is never interested in my game :(

  • I just only now realised that you are the dude who made C2 Galaga. And that it was playing your Galaga that inspred me to start my own adventures in Construct...

    so it is all your fault...!

  • Thanks for the positive feedback NetOne. There is still only one thing left to do....when the Popcorn Music is at its fastest then the remaining Sno-Bees should head off to one of the corners and die :)

    I think I will have this implemented before the week is done.
