I started with Assembly on my old Commodore 64. That was terribly long winded - as soon as I found out how hard it was to simply make a sprite move across the screen I pretty much gave up!

What you really need to worry about is if its really a tool you gonna be using for your purpose. If you can make games with it that makes money then the price is more than acceptable even for a young student. Just go ask your parents to buy you one as birthday and christmas present by convincing them that its a very good investment.

Also by buying the license you help the developers a lot, they deserve reward big time! But if the price is still too much for you then just wait for a good sale offer to lower some percentage off it.
