  • I <3 this plugin!!

You see how you can add a image to the cell. this is great, But it means your game cannot be offline, Is it possible to implement a feature where you can add a sprite allready in your objects to the cell?

The loading it from a server is fine, Its actually a really good idea, meaning you can change the styling at any time ect. It would just be a bonus if you could add a sprite aswell <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />.

    Thanks.

Also are you going to update the help file with the other example's? <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • smitchell are you the only user of iScroll :)

You can load an image with url or just set 'image.png' to load an image in your index.html folder. Hopefully you'll see what I mean!

About the helpfile, yes I'll do it asap.

Well, what about your experience with this plugin?

  • I'm sure im not the only user. Maybe the only commenter <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Yeah I understand what you mean.

    My experience with this plugin,

Well it did not take me long to figure it out. There were a few things in the start I did not understand but you quickly helped me figure it out.

I Think users might be a little overwhelmed when they originally see the plugin, As the amount of options are endless!! But this in by all means not a bad thing. The level of customization in this plugin is by far the most impressive.

This plugin may not be used so much right now, But as soon as mobile and HTML5 become the best of friends it will be a plugin used often by many users.

I was actually developing a app with C2 so audio was not a issue as the app did not need any. This plugin was very usefull for that. I am still developing this app, And with the new features of V1.1 they will be added to the options page in my app.

The app was based on a image editor kinda thing, So the plugin was used on nearly every layout. There was a navigation bar on the left(soon to have a option for the right) which I used iscroll to place icons on, with margin space on the top and bottom, loading images from my server.

I then has a option to set the background. So again using IScroll plugin, I downloaded images from the server into the app which allowed the users to select a background :).

But im now working on a Mobile game, in which I plan to heavily use the IScroll plugin allot!!!

    Possibility?

-> Would it be possible to add a IOS gallery kinda feature using IScroll?

              -> like this: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=ios+gallery&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1366&bih=653&tbm=isch&tbnid=2kRF-jV_SejiKM:&imgrefurl=http://www.zath.co.uk/ios-5-to-be-released-for-iphone-ipad-and-ipod-touch-on-october-12th/&docid=CqMWGgl5SOJcIM&imgurl=http://cdn.zath.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/ios5-photos.jpeg&w=403&h=479&ei=QiYnT-XYKYqC8gPb3O3ABw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=966&vpy=235&dur=369&hovh=245&hovw=206&tx=81&ty=137&sig=114035654902722012098&page=2&tbnh=144&tbnw=139&start=19&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:19

  • smitchell Thanks for sharing your experience. To be honest, I can't wait to see how users uses my plugin, it was really fun to develop it and most of all, I learnt a lot!

About your link, yes maybe, but be sure it won't be for now. The next thing is to adapt a carousel option.

  • Oh wheat thanks. Yeah I agree a carousel option would be great!

Well, what about your experience with this plugin?

Iv'e been following the development as well!

Its a brilliant plugin....the only downside is that you dont

see a visual rep of the window as you build it?(unless iv'e missed something)

Iv'e been working on a similar project using Construct Classic and

Construct 2 to create an ebook building wizard( with png images)

I'm using C1 to make a layout editor that will be able to record button/ image and text settings that my C2 side will use to produce a build a phonegap converted ebook.

Here's a couple of images..the one on the left is a template I got of the net. The image on the right is an actual screen shot taken from C2.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22173473/iptemplate.png" border="0" />

    Keep the good work !

  • chrisbrobs I thought about a wysiwyg system but I'm pretty sure that is impossible to do this with the Construct 2 SDK right now. Or if it is, it will be heavy to do. Btw, could you share this wizard tool ?

  • The action set font, Will web fonts work someday?

  • smitchell I've never used webfonts, so I have to document further myself but I guess it could be possible to add it in a next build ;)

Still got a lot of work to do on it, but I will keep you posted.

Here's a great opensource project you might want to check out:

  • chrisbrobs

Yes I know this framework. I planned to adapt someday that kind of framework to Construct 2 (jquery mobile etc...)

  • Great!. Quick question, Remember how we was talking about setting the background image offline.

If i set the bg image to images/bgImage, Will that work?

  • smitchell Yes it will. Just be aware that it won't work only on preview.
